[Hello, Luceti. Have you been enjoying the strange little time shifts that have been coming and going these past couple of months? Because Kari hasn't. In fact, she's in the middle of one right now, and it's extremely unpleasant. Why is that, you ask?]

[Because she was just inside the elevator when they suddenly decided to not exist anymore. Unfortunately, they only decided to stop existing on the floor she was on at the time, so there's nowhere for her to go. At least it didn't turn into a bottomless elevator shaft to drop her to her doom. But they did turn into some kind of hellish stairway-purgatory with no doors, no windows, and nothing but two sets of stairs going up and down that simply lead to walls.]

[Thankfully, she has her journal with her to live-blog the incident.]

It's been 20 minutes now.
I'm stuck in a building somewhere. Like, literally. The elevator disappeared and now I'm apparently stuck in the wall.
The possibility of escape seems low.
Updates to follow.

The first hour.
There's no windows in here. Not sure how much air I have. Probably a lot.
It's cold. And hot. I'm so hungry.
And I think I left some instant noodles in the microwave.

Hour 2 of Elevator Purgatory.
I'm starting to hear voices.
No, seriously, these walls are way too thin. Maybe if I knock loud enough the people on this floor will start to think the place is haunted?
I'm like this close to trying to break the wall down.

Hour 2 and 10 minutes.
Don't try to punch walls with your bare hands.
Especially using the arm you broke few weeks ago.
It will hurt and you will feel like a dumbass.

Hour 3.
All hope is lost.
I've resigned myself to Elevator Purgatory forever.
Tell my mom I love her.

[Okay she's clearly being a little overly dramatic. But she's bored, and this doesn't look like it's going away anytime soon, so have at it! Feel free to specify what time your character is responding to, otherwise I'll just assume Hour 3. EDIT: And for people who might try teleporting in to save her, there's also a 100% power-cap shift going on inside the room, so anyone who goes in will be stuck with her until the time shift ends!]

I wouldn't dream of it, hee hee.

[ But that's all she'll hear from him for several minutes. Mostly because he's making sure he gets the right room, rather than teleporting in on any old room and just dropping the information that he can do that on any random person.

And then it takes him a little bit to locate where in the wall she's likely to be.

But suddenly there's a Joshua in the room with her, announcing himself with a loud slurp of noodles. There's already a couple decent-size bites taken out of the tofu. ]

Good news! The sogginess didn't ruin the flavor whatsoever.

It should have happened by now! [He closes his eyes, trying to focus. But it just won't happen. No bamf. It's an odd but familiar feeling, in a dreadful way.]

[Oh, now that's just rude. She jumps a bit at the sound, turning to see where it came from and--]

My udon! [ANGRY POUTING.] Give me that! Do you have any idea how long I've been stuck in here now without any food!?

I'm sure you say that to most girls... [Well if nothing is going to happen, she'll just go ahead and let go of his arm -- and then take a step back, crossing her arms.]

[She snatches it away from him with a scowl -- she'll just have to drink it then, if he's already used the chopsticks. At least most of the noodles look unscathed...]

Do you really think I'd have gone through the effort to make my way in here just to gloat about taking your food? I'm not cruel. Usually.

"Usually" he says... [SIGH.] Well, I guess I can't complain too much if you can get me out of here. Compared to being stuck in here for another three hours, I guess you're the lesser evil.

Why, I'm honored. I dislike the effort it takes to bring someone else along with me, but since we're just teleporting to the other side of this wall...

At least we can rule the first and eighth floor out if you hear people above and below.

Want help getting out? I could probably find a crowbar or something similar at the store.

Well, there are those around who may be able to help you. Though teleporting can be quite dangerous without having a clear visual.

If you could help, I'd really appreciate it! I'm not really sure how thick the walls are here, though. Of whether you'd just hit the inside of the elevator shaft or not.

I mean, I'm not really sure how this room could even exist, considering physics and all.

Yeah, I [...] can imagine it'd be hard to do that.

[Or rather, she knows it is. Almost all of her "teleporting" as Hoshikyo is done without actually seeing her target location, after all.]

Well, the Malnosso can be rude! And who knows? Maybe he or she likes it better as a ghost! Man, If only we one of those Ouija boards with us!

The walls inside the apartments aren't any thicker than a typical wall. [That Ginia knows from experiences.]

A lot of things happen here regardless of physics. I'll come by and see if at the least I can figure out what floor you're on.
