The Technical Explanation
The entire basis of Kari's world is centered around the idea that fictional worlds aren't really fictional. Every creative idea a person in her world has is directly related to an overlap from another world in another universe. These overlaps cause two different worlds to have something in common, despite the fact that they aren't even located in the same universe. Worlds in the same universe do not have overlaps. And the only way to travel between universes is using trans-dimensional travel, such as the magic in Kari's pendant.
5. OPTIONAL: Will your character recognize Hoshikyo? Depending on what kind of canon your character is from, you're free to Fourth Wall Hoshikyo as though she were a fictional character in their world. In a modern earth setting, maybe she's that world's version of Sailor Moon? Or maybe she's a mascot for a popular sports drink in Japan? Seriously, go crazy. The only thing I ask is that in none of these crossovers can she have any relation to Kari -- no one should be able to know Kari and Hoshikyo are the same person.
For example, let's take Auldrant (Tales of the Abyss) and our Earth. On Earth, the fact that Tales of the Abyss exists as a video game is an example of an overlap. On Auldrant, the fact that words in the Fonic Language are spelled very similar to English words is another overlap. The fact that both worlds consist of humans would be considered another, larger overlap. These worlds don't exist in the same universe. No matter how long you search through space, someone from Auldrant would never find the planet Earth.
But there is a catch! The number of worlds and alternate universes is infinite. In two separate universes, two worlds can be 99% identical, save perhaps the color of someone's hair at some point in time. While 100% accurate overlaps are possible, they are usually very rare. In Kari's world, this basically means that the stories created through overlaps aren't always accurate depictions of how that world really is.
So again, using Tales of the Abyss as a probable example, her version of the game doesn't list Luke as a main character. Instead, Asch is the main character. Anise is the princess of Malkuth and Dist follows the party in place of Jade. Tear is the one trying to destroy the score and Van is there to help the party. Mieu is a rappig and Luke is secretly obsessed with how cute he is. And Guy doesn't even exist!
The Summary
Basically, her version of each world is usually a little skewed from reality. But that's where the fun comes in! Every and any form of media exists as a visual novel. Fullmetal Alchemist? Visual novel. Marvel Super Heroes? Visual novels. Even OCs can exist as some kind of media in her world! And Kari has pretty much spent most of her life reading them. Chances are, your character's world might exist in some form in hers. She's even found herself in a comic book in another world!
The tl;dr
FOURTH WALLING! As a note, Kari will never claim your character isn't real. She knows they aren't, after all, but she might explain how world overlaps work if they ask.
1. Can Kari recognize your character? She won't say anything, but she'll be thinking about it.
2. Is your character's canon relatively similar or radically different in her world? You can choose for things to be 100% the same, or let me just wing it if it ever comes up. I may also reply here with how your character's canon is represented in her world. Don't worry about consistency between castmates! World overlaps rarely make sense.
3. Can Kari mention this to your character? She might call them out by name, and will explain world overlaps if they ask. Note that she'll only explain in full detail as Hoshikyo since she'll be trying to keep her identity a secret.
4. Can Kari "spoil" your character? I WILL ALWAYS ASK BEFORE DOING THIS. I put "spoil" in quotes because obviously the endings will be very different from reality. Especially if a serious canon exists as a comedy in her world.
QUESTIONS
I'll do this for Kratos and Utena soon.
2. Is your character's canon relatively similar or radically different in her world? Veeeeery similar. Even 100% if you'd like.
3. Can Kari mention this to your character? Heck. Yes.
4. Can Kari "spoil" your character? Yes, and we can even talk about it at some point. HOWEVER, I would prefer any mentions of Michiru and Tori surviving the attack they saved Jeb and his siblings from to be down the line. Maybe a month or two?
5. Will your character recognize Hoshikyo? Jeb might recognize Hoshikyo from a manga series Elise and Tori like reading. idk.

2. Is your character's canon relatively similar or radically different in her world? WING IT GIRL B)
3. Can Kari mention this to your character? lol SURE.
4. Can Kari "spoil" your character? DEPENDS ON WHAT IT IS but yes generally |D
5. Will your character recognize Hoshikyo? He's probably seen her while looking at videos on youtube and whatnot, but I doubt he'll recognize her any more than thinking she looks similar to a woman on a commercial.
FOR REFERENCE:

2. Is your character's canon relatively similar or radically different in her world? N/A
3. Can Kari mention this to your character? No.
4. Can Kari "spoil" your character? No.
5. Will your character recognize Hoshikyo? No.
no subject
1. Can Kari recognize your character? Sure, as long as she never says anything.
2. Is your character's canon relatively similar or radically different in her world? I would prefer if they were all different! So go wild with them, have fun. o/
3. Can Kari mention this to your character? Sure!
4. Can Kari "spoil" your character? Sure.
5. Will your character recognize Hoshikyo? I'll say sure for Shinji. He'll probably recognize her as some kind of mascot character from an old anime or something.

1. Can Kari recognize your character? Yes, Yes, Yes, No. I'm not totally comfortable with Saori being 4th walled as she is a god in her own world. It'd be too weird for her. For Rei, I would rather Kari recognized Mars and Rei as separate people due to the magical protections on Mars' identity.
2. Is your character's canon relatively similar or radically different in her world? Pretty much the same for all.
3. Can Kari mention this to your character? Sure, though again, not Saori
4. Can Kari "spoil" your character? Yes to Rei and Susan. For Luke it's fine up to the events of the novel Vector Prime. I can TL;DR why not, if you want.
5. Will your character recognize Hoshikyo? Not even a little bit.
no subject
1. Can Kari recognize your character? Sure!
2. Is your character's canon relatively similar or radically different in her world? CHANGE THEM BOTH, I don't care how.
3. Can Kari mention this to your character? Sure, as long as they're totally different.
4. Can Kari "spoil" your character? Ikki would probably be curious, Astrid wouldn't want to hear it.
5. Will your character recognize Hoshikyo? DOUBT IT.
no subject
1. Can Kari recognize your character? Yes.
2. Is your character's canon relatively similar or radically different in her world? I guess you can roll with whatever you'd like? (OOHHH can the alternate version to Naruto basically be Rock Lee's Springtime of Youth?!)
3. Can Kari mention this to your character? A yes that is tentative for Aang. I like the idea of him getting the idea that everyone's worlds are really connected, but I'm not sure if I'm comfortable with him learning about an entire alternate version of himself.
4. Can Kari "spoil" your character? Maybe, depending on the spoiler. One big one is that I do not want Kurt to learn about any version of himself dying.
5. Will your character recognize Hoshikyo? Don't think so.
no subject
And also yes a thousand times to Rock Lee's Springtime of Youth.

1. Can Kari recognize your character? Yep.
2. Is your character's canon relatively similar or radically different in her world? Don't mind either way. Whatever's more fun for you!
3. Can Kari mention this to your character? Yep! Though he will probably just think she's cray.
4. Can Kari "spoil" your character? Sure thing. It can be as out of town as what pleases you.
5. Will your character recognize Hoshikyo? Not in the least.

Sokka - Sure
Wolverine - Inevitable
Ganondorf - With stipulations! Check out the fourth walling section here.
2. Is your character's canon relatively similar or radically different in her world?
Sokka - How about a blatant JRPG-version of the world, wherein Sokka is the default 'fighter' type character (surrounded by mages!!) Cliches abound. This version of Sokka would be your generic, stupid fighter - but much more capable than in canon.
Wolverine - For the fun of it, she may know him only in this form.
Ganondorf - Instead of a video game, the Legend of Zelda is a collection of very old fairy tales and legends. Ganondorf is a frequent character in them, often as an antagonist, but confusingly is sometimes the hero of his own stories. The stories aren't well connected and seem to be more like retellings and exaggerations of the original story.
3. Can Kari mention this to your character? If she'd like. Wolverine is used to the concept, but it's new to Sokka and Ganondorf.
4. Can Kari "spoil" your character? Only if they are fake spoilers. As in, stuff unique to their alternate selves. Ideally they'd be ridiculous spoilers and not dramatic and upsetting ones. For instance, Sokka finding out that he marries Toph or some such.
5. Will your character recognize Hoshikyo? Nope. Wolverine is too grown up for that kind of thing.

2. Is your character's canon relatively similar or radically different in her world? Radically different! He's the star of a light-hearted puzzle game that involves moving boxes around. Go wild with the other details. |D
3. Can Kari mention this to your character? Of course!
4. Can Kari "spoil" your character? Go right ahead.
5. Will your character recognize Hoshikyo? If you're fine with her not being human in Red's world, maybe he'd vaguely recognize her as a character in media from Nippon?
no subject
1. Can Kari recognize your character? Yes to all three!
2. Is your character's canon relatively similar or radically different in her world? Completely your call. Whatever seems fun to you \o/
3. Can Kari mention this to your character? Yup.
4. Can Kari "spoil" your character? Yes on Smoker, No on Marco unless it's fake / AU spoilers (but not "all his brothers dying" because that would just crush him and is too close to possible. Something funny like he becomes the Pineapple Lord and liberates all the starfruit from the coconuts would be hilarious though.)
Absolutely yes on Fujiko because ahahaha what is timeline in Lupin III? Fujiko's met her descendants' enemies and just... so many weird things anyway.
5. Will your character recognize Hoshikyo? Nope!

Yes and yes, for both Storm and Vanellope!
2. Is your character's canon relatively similar or radically different in her world?
Storm hails from several canons to choose from as it is, but maybe she can be most familiar with over-the-top large ham Storm from the 90's cartoon. See here for reference!
As for Vanellope, I don't actually know if I can say anything without spoiling you B|a So I'll let you wing it!
3. Can Kari mention this to your character?
Sure sure sure. Vanellope's not a stranger to 4th Walling, and I like having Storm get 4th walled so she's kind of used to it too!
4. Can Kari "spoil" your character?
Go wild with pretend!spoilers, just don't let Storm know about M-Day (basically mutant genocide) or her marriage/divorce to Black Panther in the main comics... and I got nothing for Vanellope yet.
5. Will your character recognize Hoshikyo?
Vanellope might, if you want her to! Sugar Rush is supposed to be a game from Japan, complete with theme song by AKB48. Meanwhile Storm can barely get through Kurt's pop culture references.

Sure!
2. Is your character's canon relatively similar or radically different in her world?
Radically different. Every Spartan is female, a magical girl, and part of the most shoujo anime ever, fighting the evil Covenant in both Monster-Of-The-Week episodes for filler and overaching plots involving not only the Covenant as antagonists, but among 'Spartans' themselves. Wing it!
Sob so sorry I've wanted to mess with this for a while.3. Can Kari mention this to your character?
Absolutely!
4. Can Kari "spoil" your character?
Completely. Not that it's going to resemble a lot of her world...
5. Will your character recognize Hoshikyo?
Might recognize her, but only as a passing glance she looked a second time, but didn't find her, perhaps...
In all seriousness, if this is too far off the wall, I can change it.
no subject
And given the series is both female-centric and with a magical girl theme, Kari is probably a big fan of it. :'D

2. Is your character's canon relatively similar or radically different in her world? Radically different. As in: Senel the dating sim protag. I kind of went overboard with the details. But you can otherwise mess with how the details go.
3. Can Kari mention this to your character? Sure.
4. Can Kari "spoil" your character? As long as it doesn't reveal anything she wouldn't know already about her actual canon/canonmates, but hahaha like anything in this messed up version will manage to do that. I bet you that 99% of it would be impossible to make the connection about without knowing both canons fully.
5. Will your character recognize Hoshikyo? Presumably not, since she's from a non-modern world with largely just oral tradition to go by. But if you wanted, it's not entirely impossible since Hoshikyo is blonde (her people, the Ferines, are all blondes to some extent, even if Fenimore is comparatively a bit of a dirty blonde herself).

1. Can Kari recognize your character?
Yes!
2. Is your character's canon relatively similar or radically different in her world?
Pretty similar! Ginia's life story is now a serialized manga series that's heavy on action and yuri. Largely follows Ginia and her partner, Erika, two anti-hero free-roaming guns-for-hire as they track down criminals, steal information, and carry out assassinations! Lots of UST between Erika and Ginia, as well as a cast of other hunter ladies, series ends with the death of Erika and Ginia as they go out fighting.
Also has a magical girl OVA and visual novel spin-offs.
(Similar animes would be Ghost in the Shell, Gunslinger Girl, Noir, RIN ~Daughters of Mnemosyne~.)
3. Can Kari mention this to your character?
Sure! It'll definitely throw Ginia for a loop.
4. Can Kari "spoil" your character?
Yes, though Ginia's very twitchy about what people know about her and her background.
5. Will your character recognize Hoshikyo?
Alas, no.
